Velika Planina in Winter \u2013 A Paradise for Winter Sports Enthusiasts<\/h3>\n

Velika Planina, a picturesque alpine plateau, is covered in a blanket of snow during winter and becomes a popular destination for winter sports lovers. With sufficient snowfall, we also maintain cross-country skiing<\/strong> tracks that run through the idyllic shepherd’s settlement of Velika Planina and all the way to Mala Planina.<\/p>\n

Check the Trail Conditions Before Your Visit<\/h3>\n

The trails are maintained and open only when there is enough snow. Before your visit, we recommend checking the trail conditions by calling 01\/8327 258.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We invite all winter activity enthusiasts!<\/strong> We kindly ask other walkers to stay by the cross-country skiing tracks and avoid damaging the groomed paths. Together, we can preserve the beautiful winter idyll for all visitors.<\/p>\n

10 Rules for Cross-Country Skiers:<\/strong><\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. Every cross-country skier must act in a way that does not endanger or harm others.<\/li>\n
  2. Follow the markings and warning signs, and ski in the indicated direction.<\/li>\n
  3. On double or multi-track trails, use the right track. Skiers in groups should ski one behind the other on the right side.<\/li>\n
  4. Overtaking is allowed on the right or left on an open track or outside it. The leading skier is not required to leave the track but may move aside if it is safe to do so.<\/li>\n
  5. When meeting another skier, move to the right.<\/li>\n
  6. When overtaking or being overtaken, keep your ski poles close to your body.<\/li>\n
  7. On steep trails, adjust your speed according to your skill level, terrain conditions, traffic density, and visibility. Maintain a safe distance from the skier ahead of you. If necessary, prevent collisions by stopping or falling.<\/li>\n
  8. If you stop, step off the ski track. If you fall, move off the track as soon as possible.<\/li>\n
  9. In the event of an accident, everyone is obliged to offer help.<\/li>\n
  10. An accident participant or witness must provide their personal details, regardless of the circumstances.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
