The only official road from the Kamnik side to the parking areas below Velika Planina is the state road Podlom\u2013Kranjski Rak. If your navigation leads you this way, continue straight at the Kriv\u010devo junction and stay on the main road. Just before reaching the top of \u010crnivec Pass, turn left onto the Podlom\u2013Kranjski Rak road, where you will also see a sign for Velika Planina at the intersection.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" In June 2020, the Municipality of Kamnik adopted the Regulation on Traffic Management and Parking in the Velika Planina Area (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 90\/2020 of June 24, 2020) to protect the area of Velika Planina. This area represents a unique natural and cultural heritage whose preservation is of utmost importance. Following a public tender for granting a concession, the company Velika Planina, d.o.o., was selected to manage and maintain the parking areas. The Municipality of Kamnik and Velika Planina, d.o.o., introduced parking fees with the aim of preserving, developing, and promoting tourism on Velika Planina. By organizing and controlling vehicle parking, environmental impact and associated negative consequences will be reduced, and issues related to unmanaged parking will be resolved. Such problems often occurred, particularly during the summer months, when improperly parked vehicles caused traffic jams, obstructed necessary access for emergency vehicles (such as ambulances, fire trucks, mountain rescue, and police), and disrupted other activities. Additionally, a portion of the parking fees collected will be allocated to the development of the Velika Planina area.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p><strong>Parking in designated areas can be paid for at the intersection before the parking area at Rakove Ravne. The payment slip or annual permit must be placed in a visible location under the windshield. Upon payment, friendly staff will direct you to the parking areas, provide informational materials about the attractions on the plateau, and offer a map. Payment can also be made via SMS. On all designated parking areas, instructions for paying parking fees via SMS with the vehicle&#8217;s registration number will be displayed on information boards, along with a map.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>If a mobile signal is not available where you are, you can send the SMS from another location with signal access.
