With warm rays of sunshine and the retreat of the snow blanket, the first violet blossoms \u2013 crocuses, heralds of spring \u2013 have begun to peek through the alpine pastures. Though the meadows have yet to don their iconic purple carpet, nature is whispering a promise: the full bloom will grace us within the next 7 to 14 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the time when the mountain transforms into a breathtaking scene, where gentle beauty and silence reign between shepherds\u2019 huts and open meadows. Countless tiny crocuses tint Velika planina in shades of purple, drawing in lovers of sweeping views and eager hikers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the lower slopes of the plateau, crocuses are already blooming beneath the shelter of spruces and in sun-kissed spots. Higher up, on Velika planina itself, they are still shyly emerging, waiting patiently for more warmth and sunlight. That is why we expect the perfect time to witness the bloom to be within the coming 7 to 14 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We warmly invite visitors to follow the blooming progress on our website and social media, where we will regularly share updates about the conditions on the mountain. The bloom is relatively brief, so we recommend a timely visit \u2013 yet also a respectful attitude toward nature, which offers us this rare spectacle each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please stay on marked paths, do not pick the flowers, and avoid walking across the meadows.
You can comfortably reach the plateau with the cable car and the new six-seater chairlift \u2013 a sustainable, quick, and accessible journey for all generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
