Ever since Velika planina has been accessible by cable cars, they have been an indispensable part of the tourism offer of Velika planina. And with the new chairlift, the existing tourist products, especially in winter, will be even more interesting. The capacity of the six-seaters allows better accessibility, which means that visitors reach the top and thus can devote more time to exploring the natural beauty and cultural heritage of this exposed area. In addition to the new six-seater, we are also presenting new tourist products that will satisfy the various tastes and interests of visitors. Among others, 20 electric bicycles will be available for rent in Kamniška Bistrica, and next to the annual garden under the cable car, there we have set up a mini adrenaline park with many interesting elements. We are building a new children's park next to the Jurček ski lift, where children's playgrounds are available, as well as a ski slope for the youngest skiers in the winter months. With a combination of comfort, sustainability, natural beauty and a varied tourist offer, a visit to Velika planina will become an even more unforgettable experience that will remain in the memory of visitors long after they leave. Your visit will now not only be an experience, but also a step towards sustainable tourism. The cablecar starts operating on December 20, and it is expected that the new six-seater will also start operating at that time. As soon as there is a sufficient amount of snow on Velika planina, the ski slopes and night sledding will be opened. At the moment there is about 25-30 cm of snow on Velika planina and it is a wonderful mountain to visit and walk among the snow-covered shepherd's huts. The road to the Rakove vrni parking lot is regularly plowed, and the parking lots are well-maintained, so everyone who wants to walk along the idyllic Velika planina is welcome.
