We’re happy to share that the cable car on Velika planina is almost ready to start operating again. The major maintenance work and the replacement of the damaged haul rope have been completed.
We are now waiting for the final technical inspection, which will take place this week. If everything goes according to plan, the cable car will reopen on Friday, 5 December 2025.
Velika planina is already covered in fresh snow, offering beautiful winter scenery and great conditions for a peaceful walk among the traditional herdsmen’s huts. Visitors can enjoy warm food and drinks at the Zeleni rob restaurant every day, and on weekends the Skodla snack bar at the upper station will also be open.
