The cable car and Šimnovec chairlift will be closed from 15 October through 15 November 2026 for annual maintenance. The last day of operation before the closure will be Wednesday, 14 October.
Velika planina will remain accessible on foot. Before setting out, please check the weather forecast and trail conditions, choose a route suited to your fitness and experience, and bring suitable equipment for autumn conditions in the mountains. As daylight hours are shorter, allow enough time to complete your walk before dark.
We will publish further information about access and restaurant opening hours before the maintenance period begins.
