Holidays are the perfect opportunity for a short escape into nature – and this year, we’re also being treated to sunny and warm weather that simply invites you to the mountains.
The pastures are արդեն turning a vibrant green, the air is filled with the scent of awakening nature, and alpine flowers are धीरे opening their blossoms, while the last crocuses are gently saying goodbye. Every step across the plateau reveals a new postcard view – peaceful, colorful, and inspiring.
A special highlight awaits you on Friday, May 1st. At Gostilna Zeleni rob, the aroma of traditional May Day goulash will fill the air from 8 a.m. onwards. Its warm, homemade flavor pairs perfectly with the fresh mountain air and the stunning views of the plateau.
On the path from the cable car towards Zeleni rob, you’ll be accompanied by beautiful views of blooming hellebores, creating a truly unique spring atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to pause, enjoy a mountain meal, or refresh yourself with a drink.

HOW TO GET HERE?
The fastest and most sustainable way to reach the plateau is by cable car and chairlift – check the timetable here.
If you’re planning to hike from the Kranjski Rak direction, we recommend starting early, as parking areas fill up quickly.
Let’s keep the plateau as we wish to experience it – take your waste back down to the valley, stay on marked trails (and avoid stepping on delicate alpine flowers), keep dogs on a leash and always clean up after them. Park only in designated areas and not along the roads, as they must remain accessible for emergency services.
