The sound of the diatonic accordion once again echoes across Velika Planina as musicians of all generations gather for the 29th Traditional Accordion Competition.
Held in front of Zeleni Rob Restaurant, the event brings together talented accordion players, cheerful Alpine atmosphere, and plenty of traditional Slovenian music. Visitors can enjoy performances throughout the day while exploring the beautiful shepherd settlement and surrounding mountain pastures.

Trnič Day

Discover the story behind trnič, Velika Planina’s unique shepherd’s cheese and one of Slovenia’s most fascinating culinary traditions.
At the Preskar Museum, visitors can watch a traditional trnič-making demonstration, learn about its history, and even shape their own trnič during free hands-on workshops between 11:00 and 14:00.
Afterwards, continue your culinary journey at Zeleni Rob Restaurant, where a special menu inspired by trnič will be served throughout the day.
