Planning an autumn visit to Velika planina? The cable car and Šimnovec chairlift will operate according to the timetable below until and including 14 October 2026. From 15 October to 15 November 2026 inclusive, both will be closed for annual maintenance.

Annual maintenance from 15 October to 15 November
During this period, we will carry out annual maintenance on the cable car and chairlift, so neither will be operating.
You can visit Velika planina on foot during the maintenance closure. Choose a starting point and trail suited to your fitness level, check the weather conditions before setting off, and wear suitable hiking footwear and warm clothing. Autumn days are shorter, so allow enough time for your return. We will share information and tips for visiting Velika planina in autumn on our website and social media.
